Dolores M. May

Dolores M. May, age 93, of Spring Grove, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, while in the company of family members, at her home. Dolores was born in Ringwood, IL on February 10, 1919, the daughter of the late Peter and Frances (Stilling) Miller. She was married to Raymond May Sr. on April 24, 1940, at St. John's Catholic Church in Johnsburg and he died Oct. 6, 1978. She was a lifetime member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Spring Grove, a member of the Christian Mothers Society, a volunteer at LaSalette Center, a member of the Lotus Country Woman's Club and a member of the Neighboring Farms card club for decades. She maintained the household for the Nye-Orsolini family for many years. She enjoyed her large family, especially having all of the family home for the holidays and her mystery trips(bus). She had a great green thumb and had some of the best flower beds. She was well loved by her children, grand, great grand and great great grand and was also admired by her church and community. She will always be remembered for her organizational skills and "precise record keeping". Dolores is survived by a daughter, Jane (Charles "Zip") Regnier, of Richmond, IL; two sons Jerry (Cheri) May, of Wonder Lake, Leonard (Sue) May, of Richmond; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Cheryl May of Pell Lake, WI; son-in-law Nick LiChard of Spring Grove; four sisters Marilyn (Ray) Benoy of Woodstock, Betty (Jack) Smith of McHenry, Luella (Edward) May of Spring Grove, Jeanette (Elmer) Ramaeker of Harding, IA; two brothers Walter (Barbara) Miller of Ringwood, Jack (Irene) Miller of Watertown, WI and her special caregiver Sarah. She was preceded by a daughter Mary Kay LiChard, two sons Thomas P. and Ray May Jr., a sister Angela Miller, four brothers Alvin, Gerald, Donald and Roman Miller and a grandson-in-law Tom Jastrab. Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 10011 Main St in Richmond, with the Rosary recited at 3:30 pm. Mass of Resurrection at St. Peter Catholic Church, Spring Grove, at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 18, 2012, with Msgr. Joseph Jarmoluk officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Spring Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richmond Food Pantry 10308 Main Street Richmond, IL 60071.
