Laverne R. Schmarje, 72, of Palatine, IL, formerly Hebron, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Palatine, IL. He was born on April 25, 1948 in Woodstock, the son of Robert and Louise (Spitzbart) Schmarje. He worked as a farmer for many years, than as an assembler at Crown Industries in Hebron. He loved to fish with his dad and on his own. Vern is survived by three sisters, Linda (Richard) Wappler, of Hebron, IL; Diana (the late John) Schaefer and Anita Schmarje, both of McHenry, IL as well as nephews Ken (Debbie), Dale (Shiela) and Scot (Connie) Wappler, nieces Lisa (Ryan) Micklevitz, Kelly Schaefer plus great nieces and nephews. Private family services will be Monday at McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock, IL with Pastor Susie Hill officiating.
