Donald G. Winn, 84, of Hebron, and formally of Palatine and Rolling Meadows died Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 peacefully at Williams Bay Care Center, Williams Bay, WI. Donald was born in Ruthven, IA on April 4, 1927, the son of the late Jack and Margaret (Scherring) Winn. He was the married to Nora Fletcher on December 20, 1950 in Des Plaines, IL. He was employed for 37 years as a civil engineer at DE LEW, Cather & Company in Chicago. He was a member of American Society of Civil Engineers. He was a member of United Methodist Church in Hebron, IL. He enjoyed fishing. He served in the Merchant Marines for 5 years. Donald is survived by his wife Nora, a son Michael; two daughters, Cynthia Kowall and Nancy Sarra; a sister Shirley Wittrock and one niece Joy Herz. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday October 7, 2011 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home 9625 Main St, Hebron, IL. Funeral service will be at 11 am Saturday at the Hebron United Methodist Church, Hebron, IL with Pastor Paul Gerardy officiating.
