Cynthia Norgard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cynthia "Cindy" Marie (Mathison) Norgard on May 14, 2025. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, who left this world surrounded by loving family members. Born September 27, 1956, in Woodstock, IL to the late William A. Mathison and Wilma "Lou" (Feezel) Mathison. Cindy married the love of her life Randy Norgard on November 1, 1978. Survived by her son Bradley Norgard, daughter Brandy (Gary) Myron and 6 grandchildren, Kegan, Kolby and Brady Norgard and Myah, Benny and Eli Myron. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends and siblings, William (Janice) Mathison, Mary (Dewayne) Buchert, Josie (Tyler) Weber and Marty (John) Butler. In addition to numerous cherished nieces and nephews. Cindy lived a life defined by deep compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering selflessness. She had a sharp wit that could brighten even the darkest day and a warmth that made everyone feel at home in her presence. Her greatest joy came from the love she gave and received as a mother and grandmother. Her children, Brad and Brandy, were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into raising them with grace, patience, and unconditional love. Her grandchildren brought her immense pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent watching them grow. To know Cindy was to know true kindness—and also to know that she never passed up a good garage sale, a hot slot machine, or a chance to yell "bingo!" Her passion for the hunt (whether for bargains or jackpots) was legendary, and her lucky streak was rivaled only by her sense of humor. If heaven has a bingo hall, you can bet she's already found it. Though our hearts ache at her passing, we find comfort in the legacy of love, laughter, and a little bit of harmless shenanigans she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to live on in the memories we hold, the stories we share, and the many lives she touched so deeply. Cindy will be missed beyond words, but never, ever forgotten. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Cindy's hospice nurse, Jessica Stobber from Badger Hospice whose compassion, kindness, and gentle care brought immense comfort during her final days. Jessica's presence was not only a gift to Cindy, but to the entire family. Visitation will be Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, 10011 Main St., Richmond, IL. A funeral service will be held at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home on Tuesday May 20, 2025, at 10:30 am with interment at Linn-Hebron Cemetery, Hillside Rd @ Nichols Rd, Hebron, IL 60034 immediately following. Memorial donations may be made to Hebron Pubic Library, 9908 Saint Albans St, Hebron, IL 60034, or Linn-Hebron Cemetery in memory of Cindy Norgard.
